- Passport validity: The applicant must hold a passport with at least six months of validity.
- Financial stability: The applicant must demonstrate assured financial standing by presenting a return ticket/onward journey ticket and sufficient funds for their stay.
- The applicant must not be a persona non grata to the Government of India or considered an undesirable person.
Specific Conditions for UAE Nationals:
- This privilege is extended only to UAE nationals who have previously obtained an e-visa or regular/paper visa for India.
- UAE nationals visiting India for the first time should apply for an e-Visa or regular/paper visa.
- Not available to any person or their parents/grandparents (paternal or maternal) born in or permanent residents of Pakistan.
- Pakistani-origin UAE nationals are not eligible for the Visa-on-Arrival Scheme.
Visa Process and Fees
- Entry points: VoA is available at six designated international airports: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

- Form Submission: Japanese, South Korean, and UAE nationals must fill out an application form (Annexure I). It is recommended to download, print, and fill out the form before arrival. Alternatively, the form can be filled out on arrival. The physical form will also be available from airlines on board the flight. Along with the VoA Application Form, travelers must carry a duly filled disembarkation card.
- Validity: The Visa-on-Arrival will be valid for entry and stay in India for up to 60 days, subject to the conditions specified. The Immigration officer may grant a double entry Visa-on-Arrival valid for up to 60 days.
